Training Manual - Gender Based Violence Affecting Children and Youth on the Move Training

This Training Manual was prepared within the framework of the “Building Relationships through Innovative Development of Gender-Based Violence Awareness in Europe (BRIDGE) project. The BRIDGE project is a two-year project implemented under the lead of Terre des hommes Regional Office Europe in partnership with Arsis – Association for the Social Support of Youth (Greece), Defence for Children International – DCI Belgium, Fedasil (Belgium), Kopin (Malta) and Terre des hommes Romania. The BRIDGE project is funded by the European Union’s Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme (2014-2020).

This Training Manual has been developed primarily for use at training of trainers events organized as part of the project. The focus of the training is on building the knowledge and capacity of care professionals from Greece, Belgium, Malta and Romania to prevent, identify and respond to gender-based violence affecting children and youth on the move. However, this document can be used by any professionals working with children and youth on the move, particularly those who hold a mandate and responsibility for capacity building and training in their respective institutions.

The Training Manual includes 9 modules as well as specific instructions and useful materials (handouts, case studies, exercises, etc.) that should be used when delivering a training. It is available in Dutch, English, French, Greek and Romanian languages.

This publication was funded by the European Union’s Rights, Equality and  Citizenship Programme (2014-2020).
