The data collection framework and tool were developed within the “Building Relationships through Innovative Development of Gender-Based Violence Awareness in Europe (BRIDGE)" project. The framework document had the aim to guide and inform the subsequent development of questionnaires for care professionals and children and youth on the move and which were to allow the project to obtain important information related to gender-based violence (GBV) affecting children and youth on the move in the project countries. The document includes sections on periodicity of data collection, means of verification, child protection considerations, data management and safeguarding guidance as well as a list of indicators, data disaggregation, calculation and indicator explanations. Based on the data collection framework, two questionnaires were designed to allow the project to collect information related to GBV affecting children and youth on the move in the project countries. The two questionnaires were encoded into a mobile data collection (MDC) app and a training of data collectors was held prior to the commencement of data collection activities.
The BRIDGE project is supported by the European Union’s Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme (2014-2020).
